Delivery & Packaging Information
Ensuring the product fits in your space
Before ordering large furniture pieces please make sure you have enough room to accommodate the piece. All furniture sizes are mentioned on the product page. The best way to check the floor space is to mark the width and depth with masking tape or newspaper on the floor. The width and height should also be checked against the wall to make sure tall units don’t hit against wall lights, curtain rods, windows, etc. After marking down the size on the floor, please make sure you have space to walk around and check if doors or windows are being obstructed. For any doors, drawers or extendable fittings, please check there is room to fully open.
Ensuring access into your home
Most of our furniture items are crated and dispatched. Please add 8 inches to the total width, depth and height while checking access points. Measure the inside width and height of all access points including lifts, doorways, hallways and staircases to ensure there is sufficient clearance for the crate to pass. Also, check if there is space to turn the crate around wherever needed. Please account for any obstacles in the path such as doorknobs, wall lights, low ceiling beams, etc.
We recommend keeping the crating until the furniture is placed in its intended space as pieces may be damaged while carrying without the crating or protective packaging.
Ensuring smooth delivery
Typically the delivery team will call you before attempting delivery. However, since our deliveries are done through third party logistics agencies, over which we do not have direct control, we cannot guarantee they will act in a certain manner or call before delivery. We request you to check the tracking details to know the delivery date.
In case you are unavailable for delivery we request you to inform us beforehand by writing to us at support@lapanddado.com so we may arrange the delivery accordingly. We also request you to share the correct delivery address, pin code and contact number to ensure smooth delivery.
Please note the delivery personnel will deliver goods to your building ground floor. For higher floors, in case the item can fit into the lift, they may deliver to your doorstep. However, they are not responsible for delivery to your doorstep. We request you to arrange your own manpower to carry items to higher floors.
Please note the delivery personnel are not employed directly with us and are not authorized to open the packaging or wait while the packaging is being opened.
We request you not to force the delivery team to carry the furniture to higher floors or open packaging.
In case of damaged packaging
While the delivery person will not wait for the packaging to be opened, in case there is any visible damage to the packaging, we request you to show it to the delivery person and take a picture of the damage and share it with us at support@lapanddado.com. Please make a note of the damage on the Delivery Slip along with your signature for receiving the delivery. We request you to open the packaging yourself or with the help of a local carpenter, inspect the product and show any damage to the product to the delivery person.
Opening the packaging and assembly
We invest a great deal to secure our furniture with bubble wrap, foam, foam corners, cardboard and crates for most pieces, to ensure it reaches you safely. These are essential, considering the third party logistics we work with, may have multiple handling points.
Please note the delivery personnel are not employed directly with us and are not authorized to open the packaging. We request you to open the packaging yourself or hire a local carpenter for it.
Some items such as dining tables, coffee tables, etc. may require assembly of the legs with a simple screw-in mechanism or with the help of screws and allen keys which we include in the packaging. These can be assembled easily yourself or with the help of a local carpenter.
